UNFPA Bhutan country office joins the international community to commorate the international day for Elimination of Violence against Women day on 25th of November 2015. This year’s theme “Orange your neighborhood,” was marked by hundreds of supporters joining the awareness walk organized jointly by NCWC, RENEW, Youth volunteers and community volunteers. This nationwide event was supported by UNFPA and UN Women.
A male actor who joined the awareness walk said, “I am proud and privileged to be part of this event, as a man I want to contribute by creating awareness on eliminating violence against women in our country. I support every women and children and I want my fellow friends to support too.”

The youth volunteers called upon all the individuals to come together to eliminate such ills from a country of Happiness.
