General district medical doctors and staff nurses from 22 district hospitals are participating in a four-day training program on managing complications related to pregnancy and childbirth. This training, facilitated by Faculty of nursing and public health along with trainers from district hospitals, follows the Low Dose High Freqency (LDHF) approach, aimed at enhacing the competence, confidence, and performance of the health workforce.

UNFPA has been collaborating with RMNCH program, Ministry of Health to implement this targeted in-service simulation based learning activities to maximize retention of clinical knowledge, skills and attitudes based skills and knowledges of service providers. This batch had privilege of presence of representatives from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) office in Bhutan as an observer and their presence reflects a strong commitments to strengthen collaboration with MoH, FNPH, UNFPA, JICA for a shared vision of  advancing the maternal and child health outcome.
